Observation and Reflection from a Typhoon

The Hong Kong Observatory send out Hurricane Signal No. 10 , Typhoon Center might be very close to or even over downtown Hong Kong. When the eye passes over Hong Kong, the storm weakened, the clouds go thin, even brief sunshine, but do not think that the crisis has passed and have diminished, due to inclement weather will be back within a few minutes to a few hours. Typhoon Hong Kong, blowing southerly wind and rain may be stronger than previously. Under the influence of land, Hong Kong Typhoon swept through Hong Kong will be affected by wind. As the Typhoon passed South of the Centre in Hong Kong, blowing East to Southeast of Hong Kong, the greatest impact. Instead such as the Typhoon skirted North of the Centre in Hong Kong, Hong Kong North to northwesterly winds blowing, wind is blocked. Tenth Hurricane signal no wind, there will not be a long time before the issue of early warning signal, does not announce in advance even issued the tenth. When the hurricane signal after the lifting, the Observatory will direct its signal was replaced by the eighth non-Ninth signals, signal would increase its tenth, flying time and speeding up the lowering of signal flow, Tenth Hurricane signal indicates that the Typhoon is very close to the Centre of Hong Kong as Hong Kong enters the eye near the Centre district and the rain will increase, but due to the wind has reached extremely high levels, rain most of the horizontal-type blows rather than a self-contained ground, the general public will feel wind and does not feel particularly heavy rain.

As the above said, I think MTR is doing well in this case, because when you get out from the MTR station it must more danger so stay on indoor will more safely. But some passengers do not want to stranded on platform, they will take a taxi to back home, but I think MTR Company should compensate some passengers. But the best way is to stay left safe place to avoid accidents.

Cooking, Food and Love

Hong Kong is a food paradise. There are restaurants and coffee shops everywhere. You can eat many different foods in Hong Kong. For example, Japanese food, Italian food, American food, French food, Vietnam food, Korean food etc. Many foods you can choose. Although there are many food to eat, Chinese food is Hong Kong’s people favorites. And yum cha is the habit for Hong Kong’s people, everyday when finish the morning exercises they will go to restaurant to keep contact with other neighbors. Nowadays Hong Kong’s people are very busy everyday, but on Sunday they will still invite family to go to yum cha, because they love yum cha and I am no exception too.

In restaurant, there have many food to eat, such as, shrimp dumplings, Shaomai, cha siu baau, Congee, Spring roll, and some dessert etc. These food are my favorite foods too, but I think yum cha is not too much healthy because yum cha is use so many oil to cook the food and it is so fat for us. It will make our body have some problem, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and easy to have apoplexy, so we need to do more exercise.
So nowadays many people like to make food themselves. They will read more books about cooking, learn cooking or baking from the lesson. They will cook some delicious food to share to another people and try to make some new food. They like to cook it themselves because it can control the quantity such as salt, sugar it can more healthy and it can make smaller, that can no need to eat too many. Sometimes we can make some salad to eat, because salad is the healthy food in my brain. 

I am interesting on eating XD I don't like to cook on the kitchen because I think the kitchen is so hot when I am cooking something and I hate the hot weather

Finally, all the food are very delicious , you will choose healthy diet or unhealthy diet ? what will you choose?

My Learning Experience - Joy and Challenges

Joy and Challenges I will choose Joy to learn everything, because joy must happy, enjoy and relax than Challenges to learn something.

Learn for the Joy will be very interesting, teacher will think some game to play with us, these things will let use easy and quickly to understand the lesson. We can learn thing on doing drama, sing some English songs, that will more interactive and it never be bored. Teacher will make the lesson more flexible, it can attract us to join and learn English in that.

My experience for joy is about when I am F.1 student. I remember that teacher need us to sing a song and record at the studio, this experience I think many of them are remember that. Haha :)  , This experience is very happy and joyful, I never forget this experience in my life.

As I think learn from Challengers it will more difficult and hard than Joy. I think learn from Challenges is about four category there are reading, writing, speaking, listening and integrated skill

This five category are the important in English Language. For the reading category, we must know more vocabulary to do the reading passage or comprehension, but I think the vocabulary is too many and some of that are too difficult it hard to remember it. For the writing category, if we need to write many words for the passage, I will suddenly can’t think some of the idea, and it’s not easy to write, because we need more vocabulary to complete the writing, and the grammar must be correct in the writing, if the grammar was wrong, teacher will be minus score. For the listening and Integrated skill category, the speaker will speak too fast and we can’t listen or hear the words clearly and must miss some sentence or words, but the important thing is the vocabulary, we must know more vocabulary and spell the word, which it can write on the blank. The last category is about speaking, speaking about group discussion must talk in English , and I think must brave to talk, and some of it must be shy and we must invite them to talk, it can have a good result.

How can I have some improvement?

For the reading, I think it can read more books English newspaper, it can improve my English , for example, grammar, and I thing I can started memorizing words from the dictionary every day. For the writing, I think find some sample writing to see and use the title to writing the passage again. For listening, I can watch more movie, because movie do not have word print on the TV, so I must pay attention to listen it. Finally is speaking, I can talk more English with my friends, net teachers or parents in English, it can improve my English.

 

Finally, I think t will choose Joy again for learning my English. I hope we can fighting on HKDSE :) ADD OIL everybody.  

My Experience on Voluntary Work

I am glad I can join the volunteer at school :)

On the Easter holiday, I went to St. Joseph's Home for the Aged with Katso(天主教同學會), and I'm the one of the secretary in Kasto, so I need to prepare some games to play with the elderly.

Firstly, we went back to school at 1:00P.M, then we take recall, some of the people were late, so we need to wait them until at 1:30P.M.After that, we took around one hours sight seeing bus to Sheung Shui. 

When we arrived home for the aged, I saw the home for the aged is so big, I never seen the home for the aged as like as a hotel. The building were so luxury and I hope I can live in it when I am old !!! hehe :D

 

 

Our first game is about the ball, the ball will past all the people when the music run when the music stop who was holding the ball must answer the question which we ask. 

After we playing that, we sung some old songs and give them estimate who sung those songs and what are the name of these songs. We make some balloons such as, flowers, dogs, bear etc to give them of gift. Then we invited Choir to sing some songs, I saw some of the elderly sung together!!!!

Finishing playing all the game, teacher told us talk together with elderly, and let them not so bored. Formerly, talk with elderly must pay some attention. Let me talk about this.

The face of the elderly we must be nice, keep smile on face, that can give elderly feel more gentleness. Don’t let elderly looked up and talk to yourself, bent down and should be close conversation with the elderly, they will feel valued, you must have eye contact, avoid referring to the family and the sad things of the elderly and should talk about my current situation, speak relatively slow speed, the sound loud.

Volunteering means spending some of your free time helping others. You may volunteer to help other people, such as the families who lost their homes after a natural disaster. But you can also volunteer to protect animals, the environment, or any other cause that you care about. I love do volunteer, because I think do volunteer can help many people, and also lets me see my own life in new ways.
